I began composing in high school, got a little more serious in college, and continued composing for the ten years I was a band director. Though I was marginally successful with composing while teaching full-time, I knew that if I wanted to give my composing a chance, I was going to have to commit to it. In 2017 I left my teaching job to compose full time.
Over my time as a composer, I have written music for concert band, percussion ensemble, marching band, British brass band, orchestra, indoor drumline, various chamber groups, jazz band, marimba solo, piano solo, the drew morris ensemble, Thought Form Collective, and also electronics.
I self-publish my sheet music through my publishing company “Yellow Envelope Publications”.
I also teach a variety of music classes at NorthWest Arkansas Community College.
I currently live in Fayetteville, Arkansas with my wife Holly, and my cat Pumpkin.
